Motivation Monday: This past weekend I had the pleasure of sitting down speaking with a charming 74 year old man by the name of Doctor Spellman aka “Doc”. He told me that he was currently undergoing chemotherapy and that his grandson Joshua wanted him to do his first body building competition with him. *tear* this man told me how chemo has taken a toll on him physically and mentally and he wanted to give up because he couldn’t gain the muscle mass that he had prior to chemo, and how tired he was all the time trying to complete his workouts...but his grandson wouldn’t let him give up on himself. (Ya’ll know I am crying as I write this) he said he didn’t have a clue how to pose or anything but he was going to give it his all. Doc, went on that stage and showed out! The crowd loved him🙌🏾 he also told me he adopted 20 foster children in addition to his own children...even though he is going through a lot, he wouldn’t have traded this experience with his grandson for the world! Thanks, for inspiring us Doctor Spellman. Wishing you a speedy recovery! Kick cancers butt like you did in the competition, sir.
If a 74 year old man undergoing chemo can pursue his dreams, what’s stopping you from pursuing yours?
